...in Granny's Christmas Dickens show...

(Imported from my old Livejournal blog)

I most seriously want to make a Flash movie to go with the song "Santaclause and Superman" by Stickshift Rocketship. Personally, I find the song to be beautiful and on more than one occasion, it has brought me to tears. To download it, just go to www.swankcountry.com and check it out. Something magnificent awaits you on that site.

But because there is an almost complete lack of anything SSRS related on the web, I'm gonna post the lyrics to the song here in my LJ becasue there need to be lyrics to SSRS songs somewhere.

Mistletoe in rows
But I don't give a damn
Unless you feed me wine
And try to have some semblance of a good time.

Try to crack a smile
Even if it hurts
And hang around a while
To watch the snowflakes gather in the dirt.

Well I wouldn't trade away
All the merry mistletoe
In Granny's Christmas Dickens show
Way before the war.

And Santa Claus and Superman
Ran away to Disneyland

In all the aggravation,
Everyone forgot
To pray for all the sweet things
Your money never bought you on a good day.

Well gather up your things
And bustle down the lighted streets
Say "Hi!" to all the eyes we meet.
Go to midnight mass
And act as if we go there all the time.

Dandelions won't ever grow
Here inside our melancholy
Haaa-holiday show.

And I personally transcribed all of that.

In addition, I intend to do a collaboration Flash movie with a friend Erik. He's more experienced with Flash than I am, but he also happens to be lazier so in the grand balance of things, we should turn out to be equals.

Because Amazon.com was taking too fucking long to send me a book I ordered in May (shipping estimate before cancellation was like July 20th) I re-ordered the book directly from the author. It cost twice as much, but in less than two weeks I'll have the book. I wish I'd just bought the book there in the first place. Oh, well, you can't have everything you want.

My favorite webcomic is taking a break for a week but it ain't all bad. He's going to update his site with more textual content which is at times better than the comic itself.

I'm happy to say that this Friday, I'm going to a party, and then the next day, I'm throwing a little Soiree of my own. The beautiful thing about my soiree though is that its all about one thing. That one thing is a board game, and an excellent board game at that. We're gonna be playing Risk for an entire night.

It should be fun.

I took a test on which famous leader you are, and the first time I took it, I was diagnosed as Hitler. The second time I took it, I was diagnosed as Saddam Hussein. I think it is a fun test, but you really can't put much stock in these things. Or can you?

I get my second paycheck tomorrow. I look forward to that. If it is as high as my first paycheck, I'll have $300. I intend to save up to $800 and buy an iBook because 1) I really want an Apple computer that doesn't suck and 2) I really want a computer that I can take with me anywhere i.e. a laptop.

And I think I'm gonna try harder to update this blog more often. Unless of course, I forget to. That wouldn't be unlikely.

Bow down to my awesome-ness for I am nifty!
